If you’re still hoping to get to New Word Alive having missed the booking deadline, you may still have a chance.

Don’t worry!  you’ve not missed out yet.

An EVENT PASS will allow you to stay in a bed and breakfast, or cottage local to Pwllheli and come to NEW WORD ALIVE each day. To do so you will need to buy an EVENT PASS giving you access to the full New Word Alive programme as well as the facilities of the Holiday Park.

Places are going fast for New Word Alive 08 and many types of accomodation are now fully booked. At present the following are still available:

Standard 4 bed units - half board: breakfast and evening meal provided. Convenient and affordable.

Luxury 6 bed units - half board. While breakfast and evening meals are laid on for you, these apartments have the additional benefit of a kitchen/lounge area, and so you are able to make lunch or snacks through the day. Also note that price per head they are cheaper than the standard 4 bed!

Super-luxury 4 bed units - half board. These also have a kitchen/lounge giving you more room and convenience. They have their own parking place and are situated next to the beach, overlooking the bay - fantastic views!

A quick update.

New Word Alive is filling-up really quickly! All of the one-bedroom accomodation has now been booked, so if you’re planning to come alone you will need to think about making arrnagements to share. We would encourage single people and couples to join with others from your church or other local groups in booking bigger accomodation so you’re more likely to secure a place.

Information about day passes will become available in the Autumn, and will be posted here on the New Word Alive blog as soon as we hear. Keep watching this space for updates and news.

Calling all students (and anyone else with a Facebook account)…

The social networking utility Facebook has possibly already taken-over your life, and stolen your degree. So while you’re logged-in, you may as well use it for something useful: join the New Word Alive group and event! This will prove a great way to tell your friends about the conference, organise your CU’s group, keep up-to-date on the latest news, and add your name to the thousand or so who are already getting excited about Pwllheli on 7-11 April.

Today, bookings open for New Word Alive 2008.

To book your place, call Haven Holidays on 0870 242 1111. Lines are open from 9am - 7pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 4pm on Saturdays.

You will need to supply the following information to make your booking:

• A lead name (who must be over 21), postal address and contact telephone number
• The names and ages of the others attending (or these can be supplied at a later date)
• A deposit of £60 by credit/debit card (or you can pay by cheque within 3 days of your phone booking

You will receive confirmation of your booking by post or e-mail.

Students!
When you book, ask for the discounted accommodation in Self-Catering caravans. Note that you must still bookk per unit and you will need your UCCF Student Card number to hand. If you’re not already a UCCF Student Card member, you can sign up now at www.uccf.org.uk/studentcard.
