Terms and Conditions

On-site accomodation

1) Data protection

Pontins is a trading name of Britannia Jinky Jersey Limited. New Word Alive is the trading name for Christian Events, of which Britannia Jinky Jersey Limited are acting as agent. Britannia Jinky Jersey Limited and Christian Events are notified (registered) as data controllers under the Data Protection Act 1998. Britannia Jinky Jersey Limited will use the personal information that you provide to process your booking and provide your holiday. They will also use the details you provide for related purposes including marketing, and providing selected organisation with your details so they can provide you with information about services and products which may interest you. They will also pass your information to New Word Alive. You must inform other members in your party of the information about them that you are providing and what we will use it for. You can withdraw your consent for the above at any time by writing to the Direct Marketing Department at the first address shown in (3).

Christian Events (New Word Alive) will use the personal information you provide to plan and evaluate their programme and to keep you informed about the event you are attending. They will not share your information with any other parties, but may occasionally contact you with details of other New Word Alive events, products or initiatives and/or information from their carefully selected partners. If you do not wish to receive such information, please write to the Customer Service Manager, New Word Alive, Willcox House, 160-168 Borough High Street, London, SE1 1LB.

2) Your Booking and Reservation

All bookings for New Word Alive must be made by telephone or internet. The deposit of £100 per unit must be paid at the time of booking by credit or debit card. When you receive your confirmation of booking if any details are incorrect please contact Pontins on 0844 576 5949 or 01745 881800. Payment of the balance must be made by the 11th January 2012 and can be made by either credit/debit card or cheque.

3) The Holiday Contract

A contract between you and New Word Alive with Pontins is made when your booking and deposit payment are accepted by Pontins.

The contract is between Britannia Jinky Jersey Limited trading as Pontins, trading office Ainsdale House, Shore Road, Ainsdale, Southport, PR8 2PZ and registered office 15 Esplanade, St Helier, Jersey, JE1 1RB and you (the lead name provided when booking). The contract binds you and all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract, and loss of the booking.

4) If you change your booking

Should you wish to make a change after your booking is confirmed, such as the type of accommodation, please ring Pontins immediately. They will always try to meet your request. However, they reserve the right to charge £10 per alteration.

5) If you cancel your booking

Should you wish to cancel your holiday please contact Pontins immediately and they will advise you of the procedure. Cancellation will not take effect until they receive written confirmation sent by recorded delivery or email. If this is not received before your holiday is due to start no refund will be given.

6) If we make any major alterations to your booking

It may be necessary to make alterations in advance of your holiday in which case Pontins and New Word Alive will endeavour to advise you as soon as possible. You will have the following options if we make a major change to your booking:

  • Accept the alternative arrangement as notified to you
  • Full refund of any money you have paid

7) Minor alterations

Alterations such as the withdrawal of certain amenities, facilities, activities and entertainment may be made by Pontins or New Word Alive for reasons beyond our control or due to operational circumstances without any obligation or liability.

8) Limitation of Liability

Pontins accepts responsibility for those arrangements of your holiday that are within their control but they cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage suffered by your or any other member of your party, unless one of the following applies.

  • There was wilful default by Pontins, their employees or agents.
  • Death or personal injury was caused by the negligence of Pontins, their employees or agents.

For all claims other than death or personal injury, which result from the non-performance or improper performance of their contract, we will pay compensation that is reasonable in all circumstances.

9) Pricing

We guarantee the price shown and agreed on your invoice for your accommodation is the amount payable by you. All accommodation is charged per unit.

10) We need to know

Your name and address. The names and ages of all members of your party (this is a legal requirement for Pontins). Whether any of your party has restricted mobility or access requirements.

11) Health and safety

For the safety and well being of our guests, not all facilities are available to everyone and certain height and/or age restrictions apply. Proof of age may be asked for when buying alcohol on the Park.

12) If you have a comment

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your break, in the first instance, please speak to the Reception Staff or Duty Manager at the Park. If at the end of your holiday you feel that we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily please write to Guest Relations at the first address in (3) above, no later than 28 days after the end of the event.

13) Care of facilities

Please treat your holiday property and park facilities with care so that others may continue to enjoy them. We ask that you report any accidental damage to Reception immediately so that we can make a repair or replacement. Accommodation is inspected at the end of every stay and you may be charged for any loss or damage.

14) Unacceptable behaviour

We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where unreasonable or anti-social behaviour, caused by those persons named on their booking, or their guests, impairs the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests.

15) Infectious or contagious diseases

Guests must inform the Pontins and New Word Alive of any such illnesses which occurs up to 4 weeks prior to the event or during the event itself that may affect other guests. For the protection of guests and employees, anyone found to have such a condition may have their booking cancelled, be confined on the Holiday Park or will be requested to leave.

16) Filming and photography

Please be aware that filming and photography may take place during your holiday and take note of the positions of cameras at all times. We will not accept responsibility if contrary to your wishes you appear on film or in photographs.

17) Pets

With the exception of assistance dogs notified to us on booking, pets are not allowed on the Park.

18) Brochure and Website accuracy

Every care is taken to ensure that all brochure information is accurate at the time of going to press. Photographs and artists impressions are illustrative only.
