Welcome to our February update for New Word Alive 2012. This update gives you the latest accommodation on site for NWA this year as well as giving more information about our programme and introducing you to one of our speakers!
Join us at NWA 2012 New On-site Accommodation
For some time we have spoken of about some additional accommodation becoming available on our site. We do apologise for the long delay. Thank you to those of you who have been patiently waiting. I'm glad to let you know that the new units are finally ready to be booked! Those on the waiting list are presently being contacted by Pontins to see if they would like to make a booking.
If you are not on the waiting list but would like to be added and so be in line for these units then please email traveltrade@pontins.com giving your name and contact details, and ask to be added to the waiting list for New Word Alive.
I do hope this enables many more guests to be able to join us this year.
Event Passes available
Staying "off-site" is an option many guests at NWA have found works very well for them. It gives a good mixture of the event and your own space for a holiday. You can choose the type of accommodation you prefer; B&B, self catering cottage, static caravan. A list of local accommodation is available on our website to help.
You will need to buy an event pass to attend NWA – which are on sale in our website shop at the following prices:
Adults - £110
3–16 year olds - £50
2 years and under – free
To buy event passes visit the New Word Alive shop.
Forums
Our online forums are now up and running for the 2012 event. As the event approaches guests have found the forums a useful way of contacting others coming to the event, to advertise spaces in accommodation or ask for lifts. Do visit the forums to both ask and offer!
Evening Celebrations at NWA 2012
Our last update gave a taste of our afternoon programme. This time it's the turn of the evening celebrations. Revelation 5 describes how the whole of creation gathers around God's throne to sing 'Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.' This year in our evening meetings we are going to focus on Jesus' death for us. Each evening we will take an aspect of the great riches of the cross to see what Jesus has done, how it changes our lives, and should lead us to join in the heavenly song.
We will also have an evening where we spend more time in prayer together, for our churches and for the world.
In our next update we will give a complete list of all that is happening at this years event so that you can start to weigh up what you might go to.
International Student Track
We are delighted to partner with Friends International and OMF Diaspora to put on the international student track again this year. This is a unique opportunity for students from overseas to think together about living for Christ as they return to their home countries. For more information go to our International Student Track page.
William Taylor – interview
At New Word Alive 2012 William Taylor will be teaching a Rough Guide to the Whole Bible track in the mornings showing us how the Bible fits together. William is the rector of St Helens, Bishopsgate in London. He is married to Janet and they have three children.

We asked him a few questions so we could get to know him ahead of the event.
Quick fire questions:
Iphone or blackberry? Blackberry
Indian or Chinese? Both
X-factor or Strictly Come Dancing? Strictly, but ONLY because my daughter is hooked on it!
Reading fiction or watching a film? Both
Classical or pop? Thrash metal
Specialist Round
How did you become a Christian?
Through my Grandfather after leaving school
What is the best thing about being a Christian?
Knowing Jesus and His people
What is the most frustrating thing about your job?
The indifference of so many to the wonderful person of Christ and all he offers us.
What is your most fun family activity?
Being together on my parents' farm in Cornwall
How are you feeling about 6 days in North Wales next April?
Really excited about the prospect of several thousand Christians eager to grow in love for Christ and in godliness
What excites you about the seeing how the whole Bible fits together and what do you hope the Lord will teach us together?
Lives that 'count' are lives lined up behind and given in service of God's grand purposes. The grand purposes of our faithful God span the 66 books of the Bible. They emerge in technicolour as we look at the big Bible story. I am really looking forward to exploring God's plan for His universe together. My aim is that we live lives that count! We do hope you will be able to join us at NWA 2012 and are looking forward to the event.
Yours warmly,
Nigel Beynon
Director of New Word Alive
